Prism can provide services and products to support Leadership
Development within a defined scope to support organizational objectives.
In such situations, Prism maintains a systems perspective to ensure the
effectiveness and integrity of the consulting and/or training
intervention. Prism will first seek to understand the organization's
strategic direction, the context within which the Leadership Development
is taking place, and the desired outcomes. We often find that the need
for Leadership Development is driven by significant changes within an
organization, even if the organization has no formal change initiative
underway.
In any situation where Leadership Development is required, Prism
facilitates assessment of the specific leadership competencies which
must be developed. This process often includes the collection of
information from stakeholders and the prioritization of leadership
competencies most in need of development in the organization. Depending
upon specific organizational need, several approaches can be considered
to develop leadership skills:
-
An
academy approach, that immerses leaders in an interdependent series
of leadership modules which systematically develop the identified
critical competencies. This highly interactive approach uses
customized scenarios to ensure organization-specific applicability.
-
A
series of modules that, based on an upfront assessment, are
customized to the organization, its language and its environment.
-
A
series of Leadership Development Forums where the entire leadership
team attends the session together to learn / experience key
leadership responsibilities (identified through an up-front
assessment) and then immediately applies them to organizational
issues. Leadership Development Forums result in an interesting
blend of training with immediate application. By having the entire
leadership team in attendance, real work can be accomplished during
the Forum itself.
